Patrick J. Goonan

Patrick J. Goonan is an associate attorney at Whiting, Ross, Abel & Campbell, LLP.

Patrick is dedicated to helping clients navigate California’s legal system and enforcing their rights guaranteed by the law. He excelled in the classroom during his studies at the University of San Francisco School of Law, and he catered his curriculum to focus on civil litigation. Knowing there was much more to being an effective lawyer than what one can learn in the classroom, Patrick worked during the majority of his time as a student. He gained invaluable experience in internships and summer associate positions spanning a variety of legal fields including Personal Injury, Employment, Immigration, Criminal, and a full calendar year at a prominent San Francisco Family Law firm focusing on high-income clients. He brings all of this knowledge to the table in representing clients with Whiting, Ross, Abel & Campbell.

Family Law is a uniquely emotional and personal area of law, and Patrick strives to alleviate his client’s stresses and concerns that come with complex litigation by working hard to achieve his or her goals and by ensuring the client understands what is happening at every stage of the case. Patrick believes communication and collaboration are key ingredients to success, and he has honed these skills to efficiently and skillfully represent his clients.

In his free time, Patrick enjoys taking long walks to explore new places in the Bay Area and visiting any of the endless California beaches, which was not something he could easily do growing up in Northwest Ohio. He reads as often as he can and will never say no to trying a new restaurant or cuisine.
