Andrew Ross is the senior partner in the law firm of Whiting, Ross, Abel & Campbell, LLP, having been with the firm for more than 30 years. He is a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by The State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, since 1994. Andy is a hardworking, seasoned professional, with a compassionate perspective and has a unique ability to assist clients in navigating through the many challenges of California divorce, including those with complex property issues, valuable business interests, complicated separate property issues, emotional custody disputes, establishment and modification of child and spousal support, and other aspects of California family law. He is a quick study, and is able to define issues and options for settlement resulting in reduced negative impact, wherever possible, in high conflict cases.

Andy is developing a mediation practice focusing on family law matters.

Among Andy’s accomplishments is his inclusion in Northern California Super Lawyers® – an achievement he has attained every year since its 2004 inception. He was also designated on the Top 100 Attorneys list in Northern California Super Lawyers® in 2008 and 2009. In addition, he was proudly selected by his peers for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America” in the specialty of Family Law for the years 2008 through 2024. Andy was selected by Best Lawyers® as the 2017 Lawyer of the Year in Family Law for the Oakland metro area, including Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Andy served for two years on the Contra Costa County Judicial Evaluations Committee. In 2012, he was Vice-Chairman and in 2013 he served as Chairman of the Committee. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Andy was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has lived in the Bay Area for nearly 50 years.
