Robin M. Birnbaum

Robin M. Birnbaum is committed to providing quality legal services to clients in a wide range of matrimonial law matters. Prior to joining Whiting, Fallon, Ross & Abel, LLP, Ms. Birnbaum was an associate at the Law Offices of Russo & Prince, LLP, in Solano County, where she practiced exclusively in family law matters. Ms. Birnbaum has experience in all facets of family law including child custody jurisdiction disputes, minor’s counsel, guardianship, domestic violence, mediation and litigation.

Ms. Birnbaum attended Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, with a focus on women’s studies and racial and ethnic relations. She attended law school at John F. Kennedy University-School of Law, where she was President-elect and co-founder of the Law Student Association. During law school, Ms. Birnbaum spent two semesters as an intern for Bay Area Legal Aid, working closely with court staff and assisting pro per litigants applying for domestic violence restraining orders. She also interned for the Contra Costa County Juvenile Dependency Program, where she represented indigent parents and children in Juvenile Dependency Court.

Ms. Birnbaum is a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Birnbaum is a member of the California Bar Association, the Contra Costa County Bar Association, and the Solano County Bar Association. She is also a certified mediator. Ms. Birnbaum’s affiliation with the Contra Costa County Bar Association began in law school when she was co-chair of the student section, and later co-chair of the Barristers/Young Lawyers section, which seeks to provide attorneys in practice for six years or less with networking, education, and mentoring opportunities.

Ms. Birnbaum was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.
